As the summer progresses and summer fun continues, it is EXTREMELY important for everyone to remember that safety on the lake must be our priority. Recently a swimmer was almost hit by boater on their cell phone. We have a lot of distance swimmers right now. Swimmers need to use bright colors and markers. Boaters need to watch out for them.
Also remember Illinois State law prohibits riding on the front of a pontoon boat, being in front of the rail while the boat is moving, or hanging onto the side while the boat is moving. People wash into the blades of the motor doing this.
