The board held their regular meeting on the last Monday of the month, August 27 at 840 East Lake Drive. Events discussed are noted in this newsletter. The Treasurer, Rick Welle reported the Association is on track with assessment income.
Roy Wehling, restrictions chair, reported that the Association’s restrictions prohibit anyone from having a business that brings customers into the subdivision. A home office or working from home is not prohibited.
It was reported to the Safety Committee that a dock collapsed with young people on it. The Restrictions committee has been encouraging residents to repair or replace run-down docks and may need to renew those efforts.
Two safety issues reported to Carolyn this month were a boater on a cell phone who almost hit a swimmer and children riding on the front of a pontoon boat, which is prohibited by Illinois law.
In the Commons Committee report Lee Frea reported on the work done on W6 to clean up the swamp that had formed at the back of the peninsula to the underwater bridge. Shoreline cleanup will continue on the commons to collect large limbs and trash that have washed up in the storms.
The annual inspection of the dam will be done by Hurst-Rosche, This engineering firm also did a survey of the dam earlier this summer.
