Eric Ham, New Board Member & Safety Committee Chair
This month we are getting to know our new Safety Committee Chair Eric Ham. He and his family, Angelia (wife), Kya and Eli (children), moved here last summer. He loves early morning fishing off the dock and having a hot cup of coffee. Here is his know your neighbor interview:
How long have you lived at Dunlap Lake?
We moved here from Bolivar MO (by Springfield) back on July 8th 2017. We moved in the night the fireworks went off. Thanks for the welcome!
What’s your favorite thing about living here?
We love the friendliness of the people and the closeness of all the amenities of the area.
What made you want to live here in the first place?
We relocated here for Eric’s work at Scott Credit Union. Angelia is now teaching at SIUE.
What’s something about you that people may not know?
On a happy note: We are high school sweethearts and have done a lot of Tough Mudders.
On a sad note: We lost a child in 2010 at the age of 14 of a rare heart disease. Both Kya and Eli have the same condition and are one of the reason we are now in STL.
Is there something you want people to know?
We love lake life and having fun as a family. Life is precious and should be enjoyed to the fullest.
Who would play you in a movie about your life?
I would like to think a young Richard Gere but Angelia would say Jason Alexander (George for Seinfeld)
If you could have dinner with any two people (living or dead), who would they be?
Jesus of course. Number two would be Albert Einstein.
Hobbies, sports or anything that brings joy and contentment to life?
We like to ride bikes on the trails in the area. Angelia and I love to hike trails anywhere we can find them. The kids not so much.
