On May 31, 2001, the lake was electrofished and the following were the results:
– Blue Crappie 1 – Bluegill 47 – Channel Catfish 15 -Common Carp 2 – Gizzard Shad 65 – Green Sunfish 40 – Largemouth Bass 31 Electrofishing is a common scientific survey method used to sample fish populations to determine abundance, density, and species composition. When performed correctly, it results in no permanent harm to fish, which return to their natural state in as little as two minutes after being caught! |
