Fireworks begin after dark, usually around 9:20 p.m. but it can change due to weather. A warning shot will sound shortly before they start.
The lake will be crowded. If traveling by boat, please navigate counter-clockwise around the lake (stay on the right just like you would on the road). Stay 500 feet back from the dam, and watch out for the rope marker.
When fireworks end, proceed very slowly counterclockwise back home or wait till boat traffic has cleared. Every watercraft should ALWAYS have appropriate IL lighting. It is not recommended to have inflatables or small craft out after dark for this event.
